Recent category proliferation combined with a hesitation to innovate caused Tic Tac to forfeit their dominance of the breath mint category.
To ensure the future viability of the brand, Tic Tac management initiated a comprehensive market analysis. Their findings were the catalyst for the development of new Tic Tac branding standards. One component of the brand's revitalization objectives was the introduction of Chill, a sugar free breath mint that offers a cool refreshing sensation and bold fruit flavor, providing Tic Tac entry into the fastest growing segment of the mint marketplace. Johnson Communications teamed with the Tic Tac brand management group to develop visual branding solutions in support of Chill's packaging design strategy. The final Tic Tac Chill packaging has a unique, high impact graphic presentation, that functions effectively and competitively when presented with the competition at retail.
