In response to worldwide consumer interest in smoking cessation, Heritage Consumer Products was preparing for the introduction of Nicanon nicotine gum, in the South American and Asian markets. Brand management considered it essential for the Nicanon packaging graphics to convey strength and confidence to the consumer while clearly exhibiting the products attributes.
Johnson Communications developed a packaging design system that combined dramatic graphic imagery with bold color presentation to create strong shelf impact and establish brand presence in the marketplace. In addition, JCG utilized a simple, organized layout for the Nicanon product attributes to ensure the consumer had an immediate understanding of the Nicanon brand and its effectiveness at providing relief from nicotine cravings, while reducing tobacco dependency. The final packaging graphics met the clients marketing and packaging objectives with attention getting visual imagery and a clear, concise presentation of the brands purpose.
